The question is
not what you look at
but what you see.
Henry David Thoreau
Biography: Kerry Horne - Artist Statement:
One tries to read meaning out of sometimes apparently meaningless things. It is in this leap of association - this gap - where the artist constructs the work that the viewer struggles with. It is in this void where interpretations are fostered and new ideas are stumbled upon. - Kerry Horne
( Silvia Montes Alonso : translator)
Genau in diesem Raum entstehen Interpretationen, hier stolpert man uber neue Ideen.

Back to my old roots, some architectural work – doing the conceptual design and details and ongoing construction observations of a 220 meter loft in Amsterdam. The entire beautiful top floor location nestled in beams with an exterior balcony of an additional 60m. The views within the loft are nearly 360 degrees, and spectacular. This will be great fun to work on!
VT Wonen (dutch glossy magazine geared to homeowners) has selected some of my artwork to showcase on their VT Wonen website. This is done in conjunction with ArtOlive.nl

*****ARTnews magazine article November 2003, Reviews International*****
"As its title suggest, this engaging exhibition features the works of five artist exploring the themes of encounters, both real and imagined ...Eight acrylic-on-paper portrait bust of women, by Kerry Horne, were painted with verve in a style that looked like what Picasso might have done if he were commissioned to do a New Yorker cover. Horne also presented a double portrait of the poet Mayakovsky and his muse..." - M.Kirby Tally, Jr.
The magazine article includes the image of 'Poet's Holiday’ that can be seen in the Gallery Section (and in the Links section under RudolfV gallery)
Paris - Did some design work on the newly opened restaurant - Histoire Gourmande - 46 rue Croix des Petits Champs, Paris (1st). The owner - Stephane Oulevey - he has an artist mind when it comes to food - wonderful! They purchased many paintings and I am to rotate additional works every 2-3 months or so. I will be working with them for even more extensive design changes to be made soon. Plans are being made to hold an exposition of my art (and a little celebration!)
