When inspired, I attempt to express my emotions through something visible and tangible. I am inspired by the fluid and progressive, dramatic and complex. Ingmar Bergman, Tennessee Williams, Egon Schiele, Peter Paul Rubens, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Kahlo, Kandinsky, and Chagall are among some of the artists that have influenced and inspired my work.
Biography: Kimberly Shansky received her BA in International Studies and Sociology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL and studied language and culture at the Foreign University of Perugia in Italy. She moved to New York City from Tampa, FL a little over a year ago and currently works full-time as a professional Researcher for Fundraising at a University in New York. She enjoys painting and graphic design when inspired and has a passion for traveling and culture and has visited and volunteered in various countries, including Romania, Czech republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, and Egypt.
