I work with different media: computer drawings, sculptural installations and mainly photography. In my recent series of photographs I depict common people as icons, attempting to elevate their human status to spiritual entities. This is achieved focussing on simple gestures of their movements. Usually set in urban backgrounds the subjects reveal with static poses their inner -self.
The main work from this series of portraits is called "Blood, Sperm and Tears" and can be viewed at Sartorial Contemporay Art in London until 9 June 2005 in the exhibiton Dolore (12 artists responding to the theme of Pain) curated by myself in collaboration with Harry Pye.
