I am a lifelong artist currently studying for my Bachelor of Science Degree in Web Design and Interactive Media at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Online Division. My emphasis is in Photography and Graphic Design. I will continue my education after graduation at The New School, New York City, Online Division to obtain my Masters of Art Degree in Media Studies with emphasis in Interactive Media and Photo Journalism. My ultimate career goal is to use the internet to reach the masses as a Photo Journalist.
Biography: I have gone from being a "gutter punk" in Portland, Oregon to a "roller derby queen" in Deep East Texas. My teenage years where wrought with anger and angst. I was on the fast track to self destruction until I was given the ultimate gift, a child. I call Brennan my lifesaver because he became the catalyst to turn my life around. Since the day he was born I have taken steps, small though they may be, to make our lives better. At ten years old he is already a gifted artist, with no concept of "not good enough". When studying photography at Western New Mexico University he would join me in the darkroom for hours, tongs in hand, waiting for the "perfect" print. Now as I embark in my career as a freelance Photo Journalist he looks on with a proud look on his face and warmth in his heart and I suddenly know that we will achieve all of our goals.
