I am an artist because art is something that simply comes naturally to me. Anything you do is more enjoyable when you feel confident and know you are good at it. Therefore, art is just something I can have fun with. There is no underlying, deep meaning to why I do what I do. I simply love art. One should always try to find careers that include things you have fun doing, so naturally I aspire to do something with art later in life. Also, I would like to use my skills to help others whenever possible. I love making things for other people. It makes me happiest when I know someone else is enjoying my work. If I am starting a piece of art, I just draw whatever comes to mind when I have a pencil and some paper in front of me. My materials for a work of art are whatever I have access to. When I want to draw I find the closest tool and materials and put down whatever pops into my head first. Right now I am a high school art student trying to absorb all that I can about the subject while I have so many opportunities to perfect my skills. I try to do something different in every project to find what I am best at and challenge myself at the same time. I hope to one day learn enough so I can draw anything I want and satisfy myself because I believe I am my greatest critic. I hope you enjoy my art!! :)
Biography: My name is P. Lara and I live in a small town in SC. I have enjoyed drawing my entire life and art was always my favorite class growing up. I started refining my abilities as an artist in the 3rd grade when I began private lessons with my elementary school teacher. I continued these classes until I entered high school where I had my current art teacher for the first time. I hope to continue taking art classes and possibly one day become an art teacher.
