Light and glass are one. Glass art is timeless. Fire breathes the life into the glass. Shades result from the way the light hits the various angled surfaces. It is this information that helps one perceive the glass sculptural form. I find my work in glass will never seem done or completed. As an artist I see my work in sculptural glass continuing with my learning. One of the intriguing things about glass is that it offers me the power to view the divine. Working in glass sculpture is timeless and infinite. It is my desire that the aesthetic response of the viewer is not an appreciation of what please, but what opens the eyes.
“The same Spirit who hovered over the waters at the beginning
of creation hovers over the mind of the artist at work.”
St. Thomas Aquinas
