I'm a visual artist working and living in London. I've never been able to limit myself to just one style of painting, so my work varies from abstractism to impressionistic realism. The same dichotomy exists with the media I use - acrylic for abstracts and oils for more realistic pieces.
The current strong themes in my work include colour studies, semi-abstract orchids, and stones. I've found that all of these subjects and styles reflect the different aspects of my personality.
Therefore, it seems only natural to express them all instead of just focusing on one style, one medium, or one subject
Biography: I am one of those artists that grew up always knowing I was an artist. From the time I was just a baby I was surrounded by my mother's drawings and by the time I was 5 I wished I could draw like she did. When I turned 8 I discovered I could. Since then art has always been a constant in my life.
Ironically enough, I avoided art classes for most of my primary and secondary education. Being very shy and a bit of a loner art classes brought more attention unto myself than I was comfortable with.
When it came to college I had finally gotten the courage but by then I found it difficult to change my ways, so art studies only lasted a term, I ended up finishing my BA in another subject.
In 2004 I started selling my work privately and have recieved much positive feedback. As well as paintings I also draw portraits professionally. Since I began selling my paintings I have gone on to complete a commission for a book cover and am now a Resident Artist at Kew Studios.
