Maja Gudna is born and raised in Setjanarnes, which is just west of Rekjavik Iceland. After finishing primary school she enrolled in the Artists club of Setjanarnes which many famous Icelandic artists helped sculpture her into this prominent artist. From 1982 Maria has taken many Courses at the Artistic school of Reykjavik Majoring in oil painting, Maria has also learned, Drawing, sculptural drawing. Besides taking the courses at the Artistic school of Reykjavik Maria has also taken many courses for example: Ceramics, Glass painting, wood carving and porcelain painting. Maria has also attended courses at the Lorenzo Di Medici Art University in Florence Italy. Maria has done many types of paintings with oil paints, water paints and pastels and has experimented with unusual materials and colours. She has a course teaching acrylic paints. You could definitely say Maria is a true artist.
