Born in 1975 somewhere in Guatemala but raised in El Salvador since the age of 3 months old, Max was lucky to be given the gift of an array of artistic abilities. His desire and awareness of his artistic prowess was not known to him until he was about 17 and found himself in a situation where drawing was presented to him as a competition to surpass the drawing abilities of his friend whom he looked up to and whom he wanted to impress and be accepted by... That was the beginning that got him to go forward and never stop. He was not ever able to establish himself as an artist, as any kind of profession, due to his incarceration at the age of 17 so most of his recognized achievements occurred in his later years of schools art rooms and a few contests that he entered here and there. His life all together used to be semi-nomadic, moving form country to country, from this home to another. This made him somewhat of a loner and therefore gave him that much more time to practice, practice, practice. He was also able to continue on his artistic journey during his incarceration. Not at the top of his ability, that being working with an airbrush. But he has made due with the elementary and basic art supplies he has had access to. Now, no matter what medium he has worked with, one thing has always been the same: he has tried to make as many people happy with his art as he possibly could. The desire to succeed at drawing something nobody else would even try to, has driven him to do some intricate and highly detailed work. His longing for a girl, or woman he cannot have, has also been a major source of inspiration...a crush, the need to feel loved and also the personal goal to be respected in the artistic field are some of the key components that help guide, drive and finish his renditions of artistic achievements. He feels that he has found a purpose in life, in his art, so he hopes that time keeps moving on and on, that he will have left something behind of positive value to counterbalance the negative actions and ugly mistakes he has committed in life.
