In a world filled with hatred, malice, and ill concern for others, I try to use my talents to boldly warn of the wrongs of humanity. It was not long ago that this nation pulled together to fight for freedom and held its soldiers up as heroes. Now, a soldier is in just as much danger in America as he is on the front lines. Where did we go so wrong? If a frog is put into a scalding pot, he will immediately jump out but if he is put into a pot and the temperature is gradually brought up, he will stay still and fry. We have allowed ourselves to gradually fry by not holding the line against evil. We think that one little compromise will not hurt us but every compromise allows us to slip further away from God. We worry about political correctness? We worry that looking at someone might get us sued? When did we become prisoners? We are now the minority. I realized that because I am a white, heterosexual, Christian male, I am the most discriminated against creature on the planet. I know that others hate us. We are Christians. Just as the council hated Jesus because He exposed them for what they were, the world hates us because we show them what they are. We are the mirrors that show your imperfections. Not because we are any better than you but because of who in us. The world belongs to satan. We gave it to him when we ate the forbidden fruit. We all died that day. We are dead when we are born. The only life in these corpses is the spirit within us. The world is full of lost souls and we are the candles in the windows. We must stand up and be counted. God knows that we can never earn our way to Heaven. If there was another way, He would not have sent is only son to save us. What is counted for us is the attempt. We can never be pure again but we can live out our time on this earth trying to be pure. We must put God before ourselves and hold the line. That is what I am doing now. After thirty-three years of wondering what use I was to God, I have finally learned my purpose. I am an artist. I can create. I will fight for what I believe. I will be the single light screaming in the darkness, “ This is the way to salvation!” “No man can enter unto heaven but though the blood of Jesus.” All of us know the truth. It is time we all remember.
Biography: Born in Tampa, Florida in 1973 and raised in Mississippi, I have created as far back as I can remember. I have painted, drawn, and sculpted through most of my childhood as a way to understand the world around me. After my stint in the Air Force, I decided to grow this natural ability to create. It was clear shortly after my first semester that I was exactly where God wanted me to be. He has honed my skills into primarily a painter and illustrator. I will complete my bachelors in Fine Arts from William Carey College in Biloxi, Ms this semester and plan to paint full time. I am currently a Graphic Artist for Image Signs and Neon in Hattiesburg, Ms.
