I juxtapose stereotypical American characters as icons into foreign or created environments, where they can interact with unfamiliar characters or figures. These cultural relationships explore themes of colonialism, diaspora, and nationalism. Sampled images are taken out of context and combined in new ways for the viewer to interpret.
