Currently, the techniques of employment woodcut, linocut and engraving on metal, in its many variations, to compose my pictures. The gesture of the cut, the alchemy of cases, the disclosure of lines, the indirect way of construction, make the Engraving, for me, the means of expression par excellence. The involvement with the boards of wood, the sheets of metal, paper, inks, presses, the various tools of work, part of my world since 1965. Wanted portray significant memories of my life, characters, places that are of imagination, I love to carry the matrices for much of what I read or see on a day-to-day real life. On the other hand, sometimes unusual records of imagination, magic moments, a little surreal, manifested freely, resulting in points for a new language, with symbolic figures, almost mythological. The classical music, ever present, it is also inspiring muse of many of my works. The colors, only now beginning to emerge with more intensity, the reasoning plastic is just adjusting to what was the only black, white and gray. I prefer, at least for now, keep some distance from the new means of creating and printing, engraving of the new concepts of art. Do not condemn such methods, but maintaining the use of traditional techniques of engraving, returning to my personal poetry, I hope to make my creations at your destination, always putting the drawing as a whole creative process of work as well as taught the artist Andrade Lima, my greatest teacher.
Biography: Formed in painting by the School of Fine Arts/Curitiba and Design, History of Art and Arts Initiation in the Pontifical Catholic University / Curitiba. Participant the brazilian artistic movement, as a teacher of art and plastic artist since 1965. dsShe has works in museums and private collections in Brazil and in several other countries. Participates of national and international exhibitions as a painter and engraver, was honored with several awards.
