Nicolae Comanescu is an artist living and working in Bucharest, Romania.
His primary medium is painting combined with elements of digital manipulated photography and video art. These paintings act as re-combinatory windows. Stylistically speaking it’s about subway freezine aesthetics, popneodada, infrared vision, downtown situationism, billboard serialism, Naboo Neo-Byzantinism, Romanian Neo-Mexicanism and German Neo-Expressionism (that’s a bit over the top), applied on a sudden cargo-cult mood.
These works are part of series that dealt with the conceptual and visual remixes which are usually used to recollect reality.
