I always begin a painting with the intention of giving life to a particular idea and approaching a blank canvas, means to exhibit my life experience and imagination. I have tried diverse medium approaches in art making, and eventually drew up conception of my art-works. It is basic essential to represent my point of view through fantasies and images, confluence of paints and rage of emotions.
Biography: I grew up in urban area in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. My father was of noble birth and had an excellent education in arts. He was an amazing man, very intelligent, forward thinking, a psychologist and an academic, who nursed what he felt was my major talent. So he had a great influence on my upbringing. By his efforts I became aware of the world of art. Pencils and crayons became a fixture in my life before my professional training. I attended the Academy of Arts in Tbilisi, Georgia, which successfully completed and received my BFA in painting. I continued studying at the university to receive an MS in Art Education in 1985. Since then I have participated in the national and international exhibitions. I am one, who works solely in oil on diverse measures. My works are kept in The State University of Education in Tbilisi, Georgia. I became a member of the Georgian Union of Painters in 2000. My constant desire to research problems of Art had put me on the way of development, and I continued my education as a post graduate student of the Art-Philosophy faculty. Later, I prepared dissertation topic "Development of the Teaching Methodology in Fine Arts" for the scholastic masters’ degree. Also, I have worked as a professor of painting and drawing in the Pedagogical University, in the State Academy of Fine Arts and, as a chief of Fine Arts Department in Tbilisi Institute of Arts. These were the years of my most wonderful lifetime. I regret to say that during the civil war in Georgia, 1991/92, my house in Tbilisi, with all my art works, dissertation topic and all my certificates were burnt. Life dictates its own scheme, which sometime scatters any hopes and plans. Circumstances and ignorance produced a plethora of diverse art works, which overflowed the walls of my current residence. My Life have undergone radical changes professionally and personally. To earn money for living I had to learn office equipment operations and attend Business English Language Cambridge University course. I have also visited U.S.A, where successfully completed course of banking, finance and credits in Ames University, Iowa. Later, I was trained at Chicago Preserve Bank. That was an excellent opportunity to meet foreign people with diverse background and gain experience in making appropriate contacts for further businesses. Recently, I have participated in establishment of the new International NGO and became one of the founders of the "Georgian Art & Book Foundation", that is aimed at supplying materials for working artists and recognition of Georgian arts overseas. Even though, my professional experience thus far has been in administrative work, I never stopped painting.
