I was born in a small town in rural Maine. Nature has been all around me since I was born and art has been a part of my world in some form or another since I was a child. My father was an artist. He had talent but no time. He spent his life working hard to provide for his family and had little time to pursue his artful life. He did spend time gardening and building yard furniture, though. His art and love of nature always shown in his quiet way. My interest in art and my determination to pursue an artful life are a tribute to him. My husband, who stands beside me no matter what my obsession at the moment is, has been a source of inspiration and strength. God bless him and give him vision to see through my chaos. He encourages me to keep going and most of all he believes in me. There is vision in dreams.
