My current body of works reflects a sense of refreshment and celebration of life. Idealized shapes and abstract forms have been combined with rich and vivid colors to achieve my desired results.
Biography: Pen?lope Osio-Brown was born in 1973 in Puebla, Mexico, and moved to the United States at the age of fourteen. Her passion for the visual arts has existed since childhood and lead her to the University of Illinois, where she obtained my Art History degree in 2000. Pen?lope started painting professionally in 1998 and has experimented with oils, acrylics, dry pigments and mixed media. Her inspirations are diverse and varied ranging from her religious beliefs and view of God to her Mexican heritage and admiration for early cultures and civilizations. Pen?lope currently lives in Elmhurst, Illinois with her husband, Adam, and daughter, Isabel.
