ESSENTIALLY I am an ARTIST, (painter)STRIVING THROUGH IGNORANCE and ADVERSITY to capture that one single light effect, cast by nature on the ENGLISH countryside, which makes the landscapes of the BRITISH ISLES sparkle like some precious jem stone My technique is standard to that used by nearly all watercolourists. I WAS ONCE ASKED by somebody, what style and school did I belong to. Well after 15 years as an ARTIST I am now able to answer that question. (MY OWN). I am not GOVERNED by any form of TECHNIQUE, STYLE or CONVENTION. I firmly believe in painting what I LIKE AND LIKING what I paint. ONE DAY, yes ONE DAY I'll capture that one occasion when the light is just right and portray it insuch a way that says IT ALL. Biography: Quite often referred to as PAB (also Papa One Leg), Paul is 56 years of age and has had a wide-ranging career starting in textiles then engineering through to a variety of community welfare positions. He is now disabled and spends much of his time as a house husband. In his spare time, he indulges in an interest (he fondly calls it the Art of Paper Staining) for which he has had a passion but never had the time to pursue … until now.
