A PHOTOGRAPH IS A PICTURE PAINTED BY THE SUN Two of my great passions in life are travel and photography. I believe that travel broadens one's view of the world. Experiencing other cultures, meeting people from other communities and other countries and seeing the beauty, and sometimes ugliness, of the world has helped me understand that all of our lives are at once interconnected and individual. It has made me better appreciate my own home and culture as well as that of the people I've met and the lands I've seen and I have become a much more tolerant person as a result. Through my photography I seek to document my own personal experiences, to capture scenes and events as I see them and to share with others the beauty and diversity of the world I've seen. As the images of other photographers have inspired me to explore the world, I hope my own contributions will inspire others to do the same. Lesvos is a beautiful islands in the middle of the Aegean where people try to live side by side with nature. The sea is always a great inspiration for me, and also our mountains , reminders of Lesvos volcanic origins. I consider Lesvos to be one of the greatest places in the world to live and visit today, so my main motivation is to show you the best of this island, the beauty and the uniqueness of the people and culture. In my gallery you can find photos about Lesvos landscapes, festivals, architecture, traditions, wildlife and flora. I also shoot stock photography, which is usually described as concept photos. You will also find some travel photography from other places I have been to.
Biography: ALESSANDRA PAGANI PHOTOGRAPHER Having shown no interest in cameras or photography before, I was puzzled and unimpressed when I received as a present from my father a Nikon F3, I decided to give it a go nonetheless and started snapping away at the world around me. I quickly realised that not only did I like the way that his world looked when viewed through a lens but that the photographs that I was taking were actually pretty good. From such humble beginnings sprang an obsession with capturing the image that carries on to this day and shows no signs of slackening. I was heavily influenced by the work of Sebastiao Selgado e Tina Modotti,
