Pablo’s latest work is a tribute to masters from late 20th century from the American abstract-expressionism school. This can be appreciated as a playful, relaxed and burlesque work.
In the abstract art the spectator is cornered before a work that stimulates with no traces, no hints and forces you to resolve its intellectual challenge. The appreciation remains opened to different possibilities for encounter and lecture. This invites us to reflect about the possibilities of visual appreciation and perspective of the world around us.
His work is a series of paintings with interlaced lines, circles, ellipses and sinuous objects that fulfill the canvas in such way that adds new characteristics and turns them into fields of color, lines, and dots. It succeeds creating an abstraction or concept where the spectator can travel throughout the erected space.
Painting according to Pablo Candal, is just dense material embraced with layers to traverse different states of reflection and chromatic possibilities; this suggests an ambiance where the experiences accumulate.
The work of Pablo Candal invites you as a spectator to adventure beyond the rules and to welcome this art as a vital element of culture. It’s ambiance, it’s an art to capture the senses from different levels; as a direct appreciation of art or an image to dress walls. It’s hedonistic and functional, it makes obvious the way that nowadays we consume and relate with the environment, and of course, without too many questions....
