My work concerns the creation of visual metaphors for internal psychological states. The horse images were inspired by the anatomical drawings and etchings of George Stubbs (18th Century English Romantic Painter). By focusing on the internal aspect of life (ie the "guts"), the visceral nature of emotion is emphasized, which is appropriate to the goal of the work.
