Mission Statement
Why does design have a meaning in life?             To be able to create an idea and see it come alive, and be viewed across a nation is something I will strive to accomplish. I have the knowledge, I have the creative edge, I want to apply what I have learned, and prove that I am able to work hard and to get me where I want to go. I want my designs to infect as many people as I can possibly reach in the world. I am passionate about what I do and what I create. I want people to know that when I design a composition I am giving a piece of myself, my compassion, my soul for my creations. What is special about how and what I produce?             I do not have a long experience track record. In fact, I am barely getting my feet wet, but I know what I can do. My father instilled the saying, “you can do whatever you put your mind to” and I have carried that with me in whatever I have wanted to do. I am able to do the job and do it well. I am creative enough to visualize an effective piece and I will figure out what needs to be done, plan it out, and follow through and I will achieve a well executed design. What makes me stand out in a crowd?             I am the hardest worker you will find. I know what my priorities are and I know you can count on me to get the job done. I have the personality that everyone will get along with. I will show my expressive side and I adjust to others around me. I am a team player, and I know how to speak up and clearly about my ideas as well as listen to other ideas around me. I work great with others and bouncing ideas back and forth to create a successful design. I am committed and passionate about what I am doing and it will show through in my work. What do I hope to accomplish with each project?             I want success not only for myself, but for everyone who is around me. I want to bring success to the company, I want to bring success for the client, and I want to be able to gain as well as influence success around me. I strive for the best. I would like each project to be taken like a championship win. I want to show that I am a competitor, driven and hard working. My main goal is to make sure my determination, my interest and my creativeness comes through. I devote myself to my projects and I know my designs will speak for themselves. ~Rebecca Strean~

Biography:            Well hello, and thank you for stopping by and viewing some of my work. Now that you have viewed a bit of my talent I would like for you to get to know me better as a person and artist.            I enrolled myself at the Art Institute Online. This helped give me the opportunity to balance being a stay at home mom, babysitting full time, home schooling my children, designing greeting cards, freelance drawings, freelance paintings, taking care of my home and still maintaining a 4.0 grade point average at the Institution. Although, some would consider online courses being easy I would have to differ. Online courses helped me challenge myself to an entirely different level. Even though, I am not sitting through a lecture with my professor I am teaching myself how to do things on my own. I can honestly say that, I have gained my knowledge of programs such as, Photoshop by my own experience, as well as the help and guidance of my professor, and my online classmates. If I can self teach myself Photoshop in a few short months imagine what other programs I am capable of grasping on to.            I acknowledge that I have little experience in graphic design. However, I know that I have the talent and the learning capabilities to challenge myself and work hard to accomplish great work. I know that in order to maintain great skills one must always challenge themselves to learn more knowledge in this growing age of technology. I have that push of motivation from my family, my friends, but most of all myself. The words of my dad will always echo in my mind. “You can do anything you set your heart and mind to do,” and he is right. Everything that I have accomplished in my life revolves around that powerful quote.            I work with all types of mediums. I have worked with watercolor, graphite, charcoal, lithograph, etching, engraving, stamps, paint, and even pottery. I try to familiarize myself with all types of art mediums and incorporate what I have learned and combine it with technology. I find that the more educated you are with different mediums the more flexible and the more creative you can be using more than just one source of art medium to create something really unique and original.            I have also had the opportunity to travel to different areas of the united states as well as overseas. I have been to Seoul, Korea and even spent 6 months in Okinawa, Japan. This has also helped me grow as an artist. To be able to see different cultures and interact with them on a first hand basis really helps open your creative side. There were many times when the common language between me and my new friends was art. I had to draw in order to communicate what I needed. This is when I became fascinated by the fact I am thousands of miles away from my hometown in Texas and I can communicate with others through art. Living in Japan also opened my eyes to how different and how innovative the Japanese are. I had first hand experience on how important color is and what different colors symbolize. Having this opportunity to travel definitely inspired my artistic side to really open up and absorb what it had to offer to me.            My artwork speaks for itself but my biography speaks for the artist I am. I know what I can do for others. I have the attitude and the motivation to get me going in the right direction. I am also a great team player to work with and have on your side. My education is taken seriously because I know it can better me. I have learned to organize my time, balance my family, and create incredible pieces of art. I am proud of what I accomplish and I stand by my every word. I can do anything I put my mind to and I will.
