Biography: Originally from Venezuela, Rita started showing interest towards arts at the age of 4 years old. At this time she participated in different painting programs. Few years later, after having enrolled into the school of architecture of the University ‘Rafael Urdaneta’, Rita realized Arts is what she was after. Switching to the Graphic Design school she obtained her degree a few years later. After being involved in some graphic design work, mainly in the advertising area, she decides to make art her full time job. Once relocated in Toronto, Canada, Rita continues her training in the Oil Painting area learning new techniques and upgrading her knowledge. By 2004 Rita started displaying her art through private showings having the chance to show and sell some of her artwork for the first time. Today, Rita is being represented by couple Art Galleries in the Portland, OR area and continues to develop as a professional artist. In her paintings she reflects feelings and emotions through abstraction and colors.
