I was born in Portugal but moved to the UK four years ago for professional reasons. Self-taught, my interests are mainly in figurative art, and range widely from portrait to mythological and regional scenes and urban landscape. I starting painting ten years ago mainly on commission and since them participated in various exhibitions in Portugal. Painting most of the times without models or from photos, I use colour and form processed by my own imagination to express human emotions. But there is not a philosophical reason beyond my art. Ultimately, I paint because it makes me happy and I like to share that emotion with the viewers.
