'I attempt to destroy the file drawers of the Mind . . .' Tzara (Surrealist Poet). To breakdown the Rational barriers of social hypocrisy and prejudice and expose the 'inner workings' of the mind. Formally trained in the poetics of Andre Breton I adhere to no rigid 'doctrinal Schools of Surrealist Groups (webrings) in the USA and find them ludicrously hypocritical and bigoted and composed of 'band-wagon' non-artists working in 'etch-a-sketch', (i.e. 'post internet artists'). Most to them have never picked up a brush in their lives.
While Andre Breton was an authentic Poet, Freud covered up his original findings with idioms in order to protect his 'vested' interests' in the petit bourgeouise and was later horribly mis-interpreted by 'western' ideologies. I find 'western' USA Galleries incessantly hypocritical, greedy and one-sidedly prejudice towards the status quo. Surrealist art should be free of all doctrine, including it's own. Absolutely no social structure, individual, gallery, or formal authority should attempt to control the 'workings' of the artists mind.
