It is my belief that people generally live in constant flux, moving between the irrational and rational, believing a million different things and building their own personal idea of what constitutes reality, based on their own emotions and experiences within the world. Our lives happen somewhere in between the place these different aspects meet, somewhere where logic and dreams are sometimes interchangeable, where our understanding of the world comes more from the mind’s own constructions than scientific and empirical facts. We are in-between people and I try to create in-between paintings that both show the strangeness and beauty of this intensely subjective process we call living.
