In my work I constantly try to express a feeling, shape as simple as possible. I don’t want to tell a story ore make a statement in my work, I just want to show beauty in my way. That’s why I try to stay away from putting my work in an environment, I want each piece to stand up by itself whiteout any decoration, or subjects helping it to be finished.
Biography: My passion for fine arts started very early in my life but It seriously started to materialize when I turned 20. I initially studied architecture but then slowly turned to fine arts after falling in love with paintings, which I was doing day in day out. I learned a great deal while touring the world and offering my help as an apprentice to master artists. Most importantly, a sculptor in Dublin named Patrick. During this period I had the chance try out a lot of different mediums among others wax sculpting, I found it suited me very well to express my thoughts and feelings. Now in 2005, I have my own studio in Gothenburg , Sweden where I focus on creating pieces that reflects fragility, dynamism in a minimalistic fashion. My work is current distributed in many part of the world and I am now very glad to be able to offer it directly to my customers through this website. Namaste, Johannes Nielsen
