Esul Walker’s Opus A rare melding of “Beauty in Art” and Poetry Esul Walker is an artist whose passionate artwork stimulates the heart, and intrigues the intellectual mind with its combination of its aesthetic “Beauty” and “Art” that is designed to intuitively absorb and engulf the spectator immediately. Assimilating them in a total visual experience of Esul’s artistic and poetic personality. The artist is passionate about his art and believes that art is meant to communicate visually with intellectual interest for the viewer to reach inside and discover his own creative primordial soul. Esul is an artist savant whose artwork does not fit easily with the category of abstract expressionism, but rather an artist of ideas or perceptions of ideas that he transforms into a living idiom. They are reminiscent of the “Suprematist” and “Constructivism” movements that have affinity with those of Kandinsky, Delauney, and the surreal works of Miro. A passionate conviction concerning the significance of space, not as void but as something charged with energy, where forces invisible to the eye are infinitely important to the total art expression. Nothing since the breakthrough of abstract expressionism in mid century of Cubism, Fauvism, or Dadaist has there been such a departure as radical and significant as any artist’s using the digital media as their brush. But Esul has achieved a crossover style of digital Fine Art where the experience is the art, not the tools that render the art. Esul’s Opus is intuitive but deliberate, there are no accidental events, and it is the artist who creates with the tool! We are discussing random use of simplistic software shapes and programmed shades to sell prints (though this is a means to perpetuate the arts) rather the directed manipulation of composition, color and form created from knowledge acquired by a lifetime of exposure to art, history, poetry, literature and travel. It became evident that this was impossible (see below!) I fled to another love, language, and the study of Romance literature. I was captured by the poetry (other writing in as much as it was poetry); led me to an appreciation of poetry. I rediscovered the American/English language (somehow!) and became...poet! I was never a very good scholar...my intelligence, critical skill and obsession with poetry, however, served me well. Accomplishments Attended UCR, Studied under critics, writers and poets (Ana Maria Fagundo - poet.) Major in Spanish Literature (in truth, the poetry), Minor in French. Studied Sociology (a discipline soon overpopulated with statisticians, marketers, project historians and social workers) but switched to Spanish after two years.
