The reason why I do the work I do?.. I have been asking myself this question for a long time. Now I finally realize what drives me, the reason why I do the things that I do is because art is about the only thing that I’m good at. It makes me feel superior and I feel that I have a true purpose in this world. I started drawing when I was in the fifth grade in class because I was always bored. There are a lot of thoughts that go on inside of my head in they can not be expressed with a matter of mere words. The thoughts that I have need to be visual. I want to keep learning more about art and become successful at it. The way that I choose to do my paintings or drawings are sometimes accidental. When the teacher gives the assignment I automatically picture in my head about how I want it to turn out. Then when I picture it I think about what sort of media can make my piece come out the way that I want it to and then I choose my media. Most of the time I just use what is available to me. My mood that I’m feeling at the time usually contributes to the theme that I want to present in my piece.
