This portfolio is a presentation of my art from 2003 to present. As a growing artist, my style is still very much in the developmental stages. My earlier work consists of still-lifes and studies of the figure in watercolor, acrylic and oil paints, and pencil. In my recent work, I have been experimenting with the physicality of oil paint, more interested in the texture and movement that it can provide. I am looking to further explore that. I have also included artwork that my students have created during their art lessons. **My most update professional resume and lesson plans that I have devised can be found under the links page.
Biography: I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, but I will be graduating in May 2009. I will have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Historical Studies with a minor in Art History. I have been working towards obtaining a teaching certificate and I am now in the final stages, finishing up my student teaching at Pearce High School in Richardson ISD. I hope to get a job teaching art and art history at the secondary level.
