I've been sculpting since I was a teenager. I can remember a school art class where I was given a lump of clay and told to use my imagination and create something! I was hooked straight away and have been "creating" things ever since. I love working with clay, it allows me to capture all the fine details and textures that I'm looking for in my work, the only limitation being my own imagination and my ability as a sculptor. The main inspiration for my work comes from my longstanding interest in Horror and Fantasy films and more specifically the work of the special effects make-up artists whose amazing creations have thrilled me over the years. As well as ghouls and monsters I like to sculpt more natural subjects including various wildlife pieces and recently a series of portrait busts of famous people. With every piece I do I try to stretch myself a little further to improve my technique and ultimately to become a better sculptor.
