Biography: Will Cascio is an artist currently living in Northern California, His background is colorful and as diverse as they come. He grew up in the southwest in a cowboy environment on one side of the family, and modern gypsy/rock and roll on the other. Some of his former life experiences include: • 9 years Rodeo Cowboy • 4 years Professional Jockey •12 years Professional Actor/Stuntman with such credits as stunt doubling Michael J. Fox on 2 of the 3 "Back to the Future" films,along with playing "Raphael" in Teenage Mutant Turtles III. + fitting 80 Grateful Dead shows in there somewhere over the years. Self taught and accomplished in many art forms including: • master leather craftsman. • wax carving for bronze sculpture,and silver jewelry. • acrylic hand painting & airbrush on canvas. His current artistic love is Digital Art. The love of his life is master herbalist "Kara Kroeger" mmmmmmmmwah! "I love you" "Digital Art is what makes me happy right now", I have almost 10 years in Photoshop alone and by combining my learned traditional art skills I feel a style emerging right now that has really got my stamp on it, and it feels good. For the past few years my art has been all consuming to the point where "I would not eat if I did not need the nutrition" because I feel there is not enough time, "only time to create", and as many hours of the day as possible. Obsessive ? yes! Driven? yes! Dedicated? yes! "Consistantly reaching a particular level of physical endurace while creating is where the magic is for me."When I sit down to a piece for 17+ hours, there comes the hour when life,problems,basic distractions all melt away. "It is here, in this area of purity that creation is set free and my world begins." Will's works graces the covers of 2 recent CD releases, tour package design, and Tower Records advertising for Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann's new band Trichromes. His art has been published in several premiere magazines including: • Magical Blend • Lapis • RELIX and soon to be featured in San Francisco's #1 underground/true artists magazine CHURN.
