Biography: Bio Yvonne Shelton is a passionate self-taught artist born and raised in Charlotte NC. She lives in what she calls a modern English cottage in University City. As a child Yvonne had a strong pull to the arts and during her life has dabbled in drawing, pottery, silk-screening, clothes design, room design and jewelry making. In 2000 she was one of the founding members of Collie Rescue of the Carolinas Inc and has spent much of her adult life involved in canine rescue efforts. Yvonne currently works almost exclusively in acrylics. She loves the textures and colors she can employ and feels her greatest strength is as a visual artist. Her abstracts evoke an almost visceral reaction and only suggest a feeling or a state of mind leaving much of the interpretation to the viewer. Female, Born on November 1 Favorite Materials Acrylics
